PMTair 회사 소개

2007년 6월 25일 캄보디아 시엡립에서 떠나 시아누크빌로 가던 PMTair 소속 AN-24 여객기가 추락하여 한국인 13명을 포함한 탑승객 전원이 사망하였다. 한국인 사망자 중에는 KBS 정치부 조종옥(36) 기자와 윤현숙(34·여)·조윤후(6) 가족도 포함되어 있다. 한살짜리 조윤민(1)은 여행을 따라가지 않아 참변을 면했다.

PMTair(Progress Multitrade Co., Ltd Air의 약자를 따서 세련되게 만든 이름)는 캄보디아에서 2003년에 설립된 비행사로 보잉 737 한 대와 세 대의 AN-24 기를 가지고 있다고 한다.

Progress Multitrade Co., Ltd had been registered in the Registry of Ministry of Commerce, Kingdom of Cambodia, referent number Co. 1627/03 E, since January 14, 2003 for Commercial purposes includes Air Transportation. On September 2003 Cambodian Council of Minister granted the Right to Progress Multitrade Co., as an Local Air Carrier as well as after big effort of compliances with Cambodian Civil Airworthiness Requirement (CAR) Notice No. 14 ? Air Operator Certificate? (AOC), SSCA issued to our Company AOC on October 14, 2003. Since than Multitrade Progress has Officially being authorized to carrier passenger and cargo to every where in the country and in the Region. And SSCA also approved Progress Multitrade AMO ( Aircraft Maintenance Organization). This arrangement gives allot of conveniences to Cambodia:

Aircraft maintenance procures under control of Cambodian Civil Aviation Authority(SSCA).
Company employees mostly local employees who hole personnel licenses issued by SSCA.
Reductions of Operational Costs ect.
 
What is PMTair?
Since progress Multitrade is the legal Operator of ICAO contracting State this company must request three-letter designator and Telephony designator to ICAO ( The International Civil Aviation Organization) for purpose of international flights than ICAO assigned the following code:

Three-Letter ICAO Code: PMT
Telephony Designator: Multitrade.
Two-Letter IATA Code: U4

Thereby to reduce the Passenger reading problem Progress Multitrade decided short it name to PMTair only.
 
Aircraft in use:
Presently PMTair operates one Boeing 737 and three An-24 for transport passenger for cargo An-12 in the region. In the future we are going to replace our fleet by using new generation Aircraft like ATR-72 in order to provide highest comfort to each passenger who took flight of PMTair.
