Fetch is a Macintosh program for transferring files over networks, such as the Internet, using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) or SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

Fetch can be used to:

• Publish a website at a web hosting provider.
• Publish images for eBay auction listings.
• Transfer documents to a printing company or service bureau.
• Submit advertisements to newspapers and magazines.
• Move files between your Macintosh and Macintosh, UNIX, Windows, NetWare, or other sorts of computers, as well as specialized equipment including medical imaging machines, image editing systems, and photo processing equipment.

Fetch 5.3 runs on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

Choose Fetch Help from the Help menu after starting Fetch for more information about using Fetch. You can also download a PDF version of the Fetch Help from http://fetchsoftworks.com/FetchHelp.pdf . Currently the Fetch Help is only available in English.

Installation Instructions

To install Fetch, drag the Fetch icon to your Applications folder. You can then eject the Fetch Installer disk image. When you first run Fetch, it will ask if you want to install the Fetch Dashboard widget.

Uninstalling Fetch

To uninstall Fetch, drag the Fetch icon from your Applications folder to the Trash. You can uninstall the Fetch Dashboard widget using the Manage Widgets feature of Dashboard.

Upgrading From a Previous Version of Fetch

Fetch 5.3 will automatically read preferences and shortcuts from your previous version of Fetch when you first run it, and any documents saved by a previous version of Fetch will work with Fetch 5.3. You can continue to keep previous versions of Fetch on your hard drive and use them if you want.

Licensing Fetch

You can try Fetch for free for 15 days. Fetch is fully functional during the trial period.

To continue using Fetch after the 15 day trial period, you can purchase a license for $25 by choosing Purchase from the Fetch menu. Users at educational or non-profit charitable organizations (government research laboratories excepted) may apply for a free license. Multi-user licenses are also available. Users of Fetch 4 can upgrade to Fetch 5.3 for $15. To upgrade, run Fetch 5.3 and choose Purchase Upgrade from the Fetch menu.

Fetch 5.3 is a free upgrade for registered users of Fetch 5.
